If you’re here, depression might be showing up as…

  • A heavy, flat feeling that makes simple tasks feel impossible.
  • Sleeping too much, not sleeping enough, or waking up already exhausted.
  • Pulling away from people you love because connection feels like effort.
  • Feeling guilty for not being able to “just get on with it”.
  • Knowing there are deeper reasons for the low mood, but not knowing how to reach them safely.

You do not need to arrive with the right words. You can start exactly where you are.

How Christina works

Depression support that looks beneath the symptom.

The aim is not to force positivity or hand you a worksheet and send you away. The work is to understand what your system has been carrying, what has gone numb, and what needs to shift so life can begin to feel possible again.

Clinical foundation

Depression is held with care, structure and psychological safety. Nothing is rushed or minimised.

Root-cause insight

Christina works with the pattern underneath the low mood, not only the visible symptoms.

Gentle reconnection

The work is about returning to yourself gradually: energy, clarity, emotion and direction.

The journey

From surviving the day to feeling part of life again.

Depression rarely shifts in a straight line. These stages are not a promise or a program; they are a compassionate map of what many people recognise when they begin deeper counselling work.

Reaching out

Something in you is tired of pretending.

You may have been functioning for a long time while feeling empty inside. Reaching out is not a failure; it is the part of you that still wants something to change.

“When I came to Christina I was drowning in darkness. To the point where I thought I was fully done with life.”— Shannon

First session

You are met without judgement.

You do not need to explain perfectly. Christina listens for the story, the nervous system, the grief, the old pattern, and the part of you that has been carrying too much alone.

“I truly felt heard for the first time in all my life and deeply understood.”— Simone

Going deeper

The numbness starts to make sense.

Depression can be the surface expression of grief, trauma, burnout, shame, disconnection or spiritual loss. The work is to find what your mind and body have been trying to protect you from.

“I was able to see core issues that I wasn’t able to recognise before.”— Ellie

The shift

There is a little more space inside.

The change may be subtle at first: a better sleep, a calmer morning, one honest conversation, a moment where the heaviness is not as loud. Those small shifts matter.

“This morning I feel so much lighter and clear.”— D.H.

If part of you is still unsure, keep the first step small. The assessment is free, no pressure, and no one chases you afterwards.

Back in life

You begin returning to yourself.

Not magically fixed. Not forced to be happy. More present. More connected. More able to meet your own life with honesty, support and a sense that you are not lost forever.

“For the first time in a long time I’m finally thriving again.”— Shannon

What depression counselling can support

Common themes we can work through together.

Depression can have many layers. These cards are common entry points, not boxes you need to fit into.

Low mood & numbness

When you feel flat, disconnected, or unable to access joy even when life looks fine from the outside.

Burnout & exhaustion

When your body and mind have been pushing for too long and your system has started to shut down.

Grief underneath depression

When old losses, life changes or unprocessed pain are sitting beneath the heaviness.

Loss of meaning

When you feel disconnected from yourself, your purpose, your relationships or the life you thought you were building.

Common questions

Before you book.

If your question is not here, the free 15-minute assessment is the easiest way to ask it.

Is depression counselling only for people with a diagnosis?

No. You do not need a diagnosis or a referral to start. If life feels heavy, flat, overwhelming or hard to keep carrying, that is enough reason to reach out.

What if I do not know what is causing my depression?

That is very common. You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation. Part of the work is gently finding the deeper pattern, grief, burnout, trauma or disconnection that may be sitting underneath the symptoms.

Can online counselling help with depression?

Yes. Many clients prefer online sessions because they can do the work from their own safe space, without travel or a waiting room. Sessions are held via Zoom and can still be deep, personal and effective.

What if I feel too exhausted to talk?

You can bring that exactly as it is. Christina will not expect a polished story or constant talking. Sessions can move gently, with enough space for silence, emotion and what feels difficult to name.

How many sessions will I need?

It varies. Some people feel a meaningful shift quickly; others need a steadier process. There is no minimum package and no pressure to continue. The free assessment is a simple first step to see whether the fit feels right.

You do not have to climb out of this alone.

Start with a free 15-minute counselling assessment. No pressure, no commitment — just a calm first conversation with Christina.
