More than two in five Australians, around 43.7 percent, live with a mental disorder at some point in their lives, and many also come seeking meaning, healing and a clearer sense of direction. In the ACT, the ABS found that roughly one in four adults, close to 25.5 percent, experienced a mental disorder in a single year, so if you are carrying something quietly, you are far from alone.

You might recognise yourself here

  • Something is changing in you that you cannot quite name or explain, and it will not settle.
  • Old patterns, roles and identities that once fit you no longer feel true.
  • You feel anxious, low or lost, yet you sense there is a spiritual layer underneath it.
  • You want grounded, practical support without your intuition being dismissed or explained away.
  • You need someone who can hold both psychology and soul in the same conversation.

In an analytical, measured city, the spiritual side of you can end up kept private. Here it is welcome in full.

How Christina works

How this work holds both

Intuitive counselling is not a reading and it is not performance. It begins as real counselling, then invites your intuition and inner knowing into the room so nothing about you has to be left at the door. Three threads run through every session.

Clinical grounding

Everything starts with grounded, professional counselling. Christina trained in psychology, social work and human services, so your anxiety, grief, stress or life change is met with real skill and care. Nothing is diagnosed and nothing is rushed. You are simply heard, steadied and supported on solid ground.

Intuitive insight

Alongside that training, Christina brings natural intuitive and psychic ability and more than twenty years of lived spiritual experience. She notices what sits beneath your words, the patterns and feelings you may not have named yet, and reflects them back gently. Never predictions, never pressure, only honest insight offered for your reflection.

Spiritual integration

For many sensitives and empaths, the spiritual and the emotional are woven together. This work makes room for that. We explore how your inner life, your sensitivity and your sense of meaning fit with the practical realities you are living, so you can feel whole rather than split between two worlds.

Go deeper

Reading and reflection between sessions

If you are drawn to understand your own sensitivity, awakening and intuition more deeply, Christina shares grounded writing on these themes. It is a gentle way to keep exploring in your own time, at your own pace, with no pressure to book anything.

What this work can support

What people bring to these sessions

There is no single reason people reach out. Often it is a mix of the emotional and the spiritual, arriving at the same time. These are some of the threads that come up most.

Spiritual awakening and change

A sense that something is opening in you, exciting and unsettling at once. We give it language and space, so it feels less like being unmoored and more like a threshold you are crossing with support.

Sensitivity and being an empath

If you feel everything deeply and absorb other people’s emotions, we work on grounding, boundaries and understanding your sensitivity as something to steward rather than switch off.

Grief, loss and meaning

When loss reshapes your world, questions of meaning and what comes next often rise with the grief. We hold both the emotion and the deeper questions with honesty and care.

Identity and a life shift

A move, a role ending, a relationship changing or simply outgrowing an old self. We look at who you are becoming and how to move toward that with clarity and steadiness.

Ways to explore this work

Different doors into the same grounded, intuitive practice.

Start wherever feels right. Each one is held with the same care, and you can move between them over time.

Christina Feyes, counsellor supporting Canberra clients with intuitive counselling

About Christina

Someone who can hold both psychology and soul.

Christina Feyes founded Soul Counselling in 2016. She is a counsellor with training in psychology, social work and human services, and she carries more than twenty years of intuitive and spiritual experience alongside natural intuitive and psychic ability. She works with clients across Australia, holding both science and spirit in the same steady hands.

Her way of working blends genuine clinical understanding with natural intuitive insight, so sessions stay practical while honouring the deeper spiritual layer of what you are living. To be clear, Christina is a counsellor, not a psychologist. She does not diagnose, prescribe, treat or cure. She walks with you and helps you find your own footing.

Common questions

Before you book.

If your question is not here, the free 15-minute assessment is the easiest way to ask it.

Is intuitive counselling expensive?

You can begin without spending anything. Christina offers a free 15-minute assessment with no card details and no obligation, so you can feel whether this is right for you before deciding anything. It really is a no pressure conversation, and there is nothing to lose by having it. If you choose to continue after that, you will always know what to expect. The first step is simply about connection and fit.

Is this real counselling or just a psychic reading?

It is grounded counselling first. Christina trained in psychology, social work and human services, and every session begins with genuine, professional support for what you are carrying. Her intuitive insight is woven in gently and ethically, never as prediction or performance. Think of it as counselling that also makes room for your intuition and inner knowing, rather than a reading. Nothing about you is left at the door.

Do I need to believe in anything spiritual for this to help?

Not at all. You are welcome exactly as you are, whether you are deeply spiritual, quietly curious or simply sensing there is more beneath your anxiety, grief or life change. The counselling stands firmly on its own. Christina meets you where you are and never asks you to adopt any belief. Her intuitive insight is only ever offered for your reflection, and you are always free to take or leave it.

How is this different from ordinary counselling?

Ordinary counselling often stays purely in the psychological. Here, your emotional life and your spiritual life are held together, because for many sensitives and empaths they are inseparable. You get the grounding and skill of professional counselling, plus space for intuition, meaning and awakening. Nothing spiritual is treated as a problem to fix, and nothing practical is glossed over. Both parts of you are welcome in the same conversation.

Is this private and discreet?

Yes, completely. Christina understands that in an analytical, public service city, many people keep their spiritual and inner life carefully private. Sessions are confidential and held online or by phone, in a space where you can speak freely without fear of being misunderstood. You decide what you share and when. This is your space to explore honestly, at your own pace, with someone who takes your inner world seriously.

Is there a Canberra clinic, or are sessions online?

There is no Canberra clinic. Christina’s only physical base is in Southport on the Gold Coast, and all Canberra work is delivered online by video or by phone. This suits the capital well, letting you connect from Civic, the inner north or south, Belconnen, Woden, Gungahlin or anywhere across the ACT, from the comfort and privacy of your own home, without travel or waiting rooms.

Can we focus on mediumship or connecting with someone who has passed?

Grief and the questions that come with loss are welcome in these sessions, and we can hold them with care. Deeper psychic and mediumship work, including connecting with someone who has passed, is offered separately as its own dedicated service rather than within this counselling. If that is what you are seeking, let Christina know and she can point you to the right offering so you get the specific support you are looking for.

What if I am in crisis or really struggling right now?

Soul Counselling is not a crisis service and cannot provide emergency support. If you are in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself, please call 000 now. For urgent emotional support at any hour, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14. These services are there for you around the clock. Once you are safe and steady, Christina would be glad to walk alongside you with this gentler, longer term work.

Intuitive support across Canberra

A spiritual life the capital rarely makes room for

Canberra is a highly educated, analytical, public service city where the rational and the measured are simply the norm. Many high functioning people quietly hunger for meaning and an inner life their work culture leaves no room for, and often feel they must keep that side of themselves private. Yet the capital also holds a genuine yoga, meditation and wellness community, and the bush capital’s mountains, nature reserves and big skies draw people toward reflection. Add a transient, posted in population far from family, and it is no surprise that many are quietly searching for grounding.

  • For public servants and professionals who keep their spiritual side private at work.
  • For people in Civic and the inner north, from Braddon to Dickson and Lyneham.
  • For those across the inner south, Belconnen, Woden and Gungahlin seeking meaning.
  • For anyone posted to Canberra and far from family, wanting grounding and steadiness.

Sessions are held online and by phone across Canberra and all of Australia, so this work fits quietly around your life. You can also explore all Canberra counselling services.

Grounded, not guesswork

Plenty of spiritual spaces, rarer to find trained intuitive counselling

Canberra offers no shortage of meditation groups, yoga studios and spiritual circles, and they can be nourishing. What is far harder to find is intuitive work delivered by someone with real counselling training, held with discretion and privacy.

Christina holds both. More than twenty years of spiritual and intuitive experience sit alongside formal training in psychology, social work and human services. That means you are neither dismissed by purely clinical services when you speak of your inner life, nor left destabilised by ungrounded spiritual spaces. Your intuition is honoured and your feet stay on the ground, in a private, confidential space that respects how carefully you may guard this part of yourself.
