More than two in five Australians, around 43.7 percent, will meet the criteria for a mental disorder at some point in life, and a great many are also quietly searching for meaning, healing and a clearer sense of direction. In Tasmania, the most recent national study found that about 19.8 percent of people aged sixteen to eighty-five experienced a mental disorder in a single year, which is a lot of southerners carrying something heavy without much room to say so.

You might recognise yourself here

  • Something inside you is changing and you cannot quite explain it in ordinary words.
  • Old patterns, roles and versions of yourself no longer seem to fit the way they used to.
  • You feel anxious, low or lost, yet you sense there is a spiritual layer underneath it all.
  • You want grounded, practical support without your intuition being dismissed or explained away.
  • You need someone who can hold both the psychology and the soul of what you are living through.

Hobart winters are long and dark, and that quiet often turns people inward, which is exactly the kind of season this work was made for.

How Christina works

How this work actually holds together

Intuitive counselling here is not a reading and it is not a performance. It begins as real, careful counselling, and Christina’s intuitive and spiritual awareness is woven in gently, only ever in service of your clarity and never as prediction. Think of three strands working together.

Clinical grounding

Everything starts on solid ground. Christina listens the way a trained counsellor listens, tracking what is happening in your nervous system, your relationships, your history and your daily life. Nothing gets bypassed or spiritualised away. You are met as a whole person, with your practical circumstances taken seriously and held with genuine care.

Intuitive insight

Alongside that grounding, Christina brings over twenty years of intuitive and spiritual experience and a natural sensitivity to what sits beneath the surface. She may notice a pattern, a feeling or a theme you have not named yet. It is always offered lightly, as something to test against your own knowing, never as a fixed pronouncement about your future.

Spiritual integration

When there is a spiritual layer to what you are moving through, we make room for it rather than treating it as a problem. Awakening, meaning, intuition and a sense of the sacred can all be part of the conversation. The aim is integration, so that your inner life and your everyday life in Hobart start to feel like they belong to the same person again.

Go deeper

Reading before you reach out

If you like to understand something before you step into it, there are gentle articles on intuition, sensitivity, awakening and grounded spiritual growth to sit with first. They are written in the same warm, non-pushy tone you will meet in a session, so you can get a feel for how Christina works before you say a word.

What this work can support

What people bring to these sessions

Every person arrives with their own story, yet a few themes come up again and again for the sensitives, empaths and seekers who find their way here.

Spiritual awakening and opening

A sudden or gradual opening can be beautiful and disorienting at once. When the world starts to feel different and you are not sure what is happening to you, we slow it right down and help you find steady footing without shutting the experience away.

Sensitivity and being an empath

If you feel everything deeply and often absorb what is around you, that sensitivity is not a fault to fix. We work on boundaries, grounding and self trust so your empathy becomes something you can carry with more ease.

Grief, loss and life transitions

Endings, moves, and the loss of people or chapters can crack something open. We hold the grief honestly while making space for any sense of continuation, meaning or presence that feels true to you.

Anxiety with a deeper undercurrent

Sometimes anxiety is not only anxiety. When it is tangled with a spiritual question or a life that no longer fits, we tend to both the felt symptoms and the deeper current underneath them.

Ways to explore this work

Different doors into the same grounded, intuitive practice.

Start wherever feels right. Each one is held with the same care, and you can move between them over time.

About Christina

Someone who can hold both psychology and soul.

Christina Feyes founded Soul Counselling in 2016. She is a counsellor with formal training in psychology, social work and human services, alongside more than twenty years of intuitive and spiritual experience and natural intuitive and psychic abilities. She works with people right across Australia, holding both science and spirit in the same steady pair of hands.

In practice this means you get clear clinical understanding and a genuine intuitive read on what is really going on, the practical and the deeper spiritual layer together. To be clear, Christina is a counsellor and not a psychologist. She does not diagnose, prescribe, treat or cure. She helps you understand yourself, find your feet and reconnect with your own inner guidance.

Common questions

Before you book.

If your question is not here, the free 15-minute assessment is the easiest way to ask it.

Is intuitive counselling expensive?

You can begin without spending anything. Christina offers a free fifteen minute assessment with no card required and no obligation to continue, so you can genuinely feel whether this is right before any commitment. There is nothing to lose by having that first conversation. If you choose to keep working together after that, the details are talked through openly and gently, always at your pace and never with pressure.

Is this real counselling or just a psychic reading?

It is grounded counselling first. Sessions begin with careful, trained listening focused on your life, your feelings and what you are moving through. Christina’s intuition and spiritual awareness are woven in gently to support your clarity, never as a performance or a prediction about your future. You will not be told what is going to happen to you. You will be helped to understand yourself more deeply and to trust your own inner knowing.

Do I need to believe in anything spiritual to come?

Not at all. Some people arrive deep in an awakening and want to explore it fully. Others simply feel there is a layer under their anxiety or grief that ordinary support has not reached, without any particular beliefs at all. You are welcome exactly as you are. The work meets you where you stand and never asks you to adopt a belief system to take part.

How is this different from ordinary counselling?

The foundation is the same steady, trained counselling you would expect. The difference is that your intuition, sensitivity and any spiritual dimension are treated as real and valuable rather than sidelined. Christina brings both clinical understanding and natural intuitive insight, so you do not have to split yourself into a practical half and a spiritual half. Both are welcome in the room at the same time.

Is there a Hobart clinic, or are sessions online?

There is no clinic in Hobart. All sessions with Christina are held online by video or by phone, which means you can take part from anywhere in Tasmania, whether you are in the city, on the eastern shore, out in the Huon Valley or further afield. Many people find that meeting from their own quiet space at home actually helps them open up more easily than a waiting room ever would.

Can we focus on mediumship or connecting with someone who has passed?

The counselling described here holds grief, loss and any sense of ongoing connection with real care, but it is not a mediumship sitting. Christina does offer dedicated psychic and mediumship work, and channelling of Saint Germain, through separate offerings on their own pages. If that is truly what you are looking for, it is best explored there so each kind of work stays clear and honest about what it is.

Is this a crisis or emergency service?

No, this is not a crisis service and it cannot provide urgent or emergency support. If you are in immediate danger or worried about your safety, please call 000 straight away. If you are struggling and need to talk to someone right now, Lifeline is available around the clock on 13 11 14. Once things are steadier, intuitive counselling can be a caring space to process what you have been through.

How do I start?

The simplest first step is the free fifteen minute assessment. You can call 0479 144 561 or book online, and you will have a relaxed, no pressure chat about what is going on for you and how Christina might help. If it feels like a fit, you can arrange a full session from there. If it does not, that is completely fine, and you will have lost nothing by asking.

A gentle first step

If any of this resonates, you are warmly invited to start with a free fifteen minute assessment. There is no card, no obligation and nothing to lose, just a quiet chance to talk, feel whether it fits, and decide from there. You can call 0479 144 561 or book online whenever you are ready.

Intuitive support across Hobart

A southern city that already lives close to the mystical

Hobart is a small city with an unusually open relationship to the mystical. Dark Mofo and Mona have made ritual, darkness and the sacred part of ordinary cultural conversation here, so questions of meaning and the unseen do not feel out of place. The wild presence of kunanyi and the wilderness beyond the city draws contemplative, nature connected people who are used to sitting with something larger than themselves. There is a real if modest wellness and yoga community, and long dark winters that gently turn many people inward. Plenty of those who moved south for a slower, more meaningful life still want somewhere private and discreet to explore the inner side of that change.

  • For sensitives and empaths across the CBD, Sandy Bay and Battery Point who feel more than they can easily explain.
  • For contemplative, nature connected people drawn to kunanyi and the wilderness who sense a spiritual thread in their lives.
  • For tree changers and eastern shore locals who came seeking a slower, more meaningful life and want support that honours that.
  • For Huon Valley and greater Hobart residents who value quiet, discreet support in a close community.

Sessions are held online and by phone across Hobart and all of Australia, so this work fits quietly around your life. You can also explore all Hobart counselling services.

Grounded, not guesswork

Plenty of spiritual offerings, far fewer grounded in trained counselling

Hobart is not short of readings, healers and workshops, and there is real beauty in that scene. What is rarer is intuitive work that is anchored in proper counselling training, where the spiritual layer is held with care rather than sold as certainty.

Christina holds both sides of this at once, more than twenty years of intuitive and spiritual work together with formal counselling training in psychology, social work and human services. That means you are neither dismissed the way clinical services can dismiss the intuitive, nor left destabilised the way an ungrounded spiritual space sometimes can. You get warmth and mystery and steadiness in the same room, which is a rare and reassuring combination.
