More than two in five Australians, around 43.7 percent, meet the criteria for a mental disorder at some stage of life, and many more quietly seek support for meaning, healing and a sense of direction that a diagnosis never quite names. In Victoria, the most recent national study found about 21.4 percent of people experienced a mental disorder in a single twelve month period, so if this season feels heavy you are far from alone.

You might be here because

  • Something inside you is changing and you cannot fully explain it in words.
  • Old patterns, roles and identities that once fit you now feel too small.
  • You feel anxious, low or lost, yet you sense a spiritual layer sitting underneath it.
  • You want grounded support where your intuition is honoured, not dismissed as imagination.
  • You need someone who can hold both psychology and soul in the same conversation.

Melbourne has a way of turning us inward, especially through the long grey winters when the days grow short and reflection rises to the surface. If that stirring has been asking for attention, this is a gentle place to begin.

How Christina works

How this work holds you

Intuitive counselling here always begins on solid ground. Christina listens to the whole of your story, your nervous system and your circumstances first, and then, where it serves you, she draws on intuitive and spiritual insight. Nothing is forced, and nothing is performed. Three threads weave through every session.

Clinical grounding

Christina is a counsellor with training in psychology, social work and human services. Sessions rest on real counselling skills, steady listening and practical support, so you are never floating in vague ideas. This is emotional care you can lean your weight on, especially when anxiety, grief or a life change has left you unsteady.

Intuitive insight

Alongside her training, Christina carries natural intuitive and psychic ability and more than twenty years of lived spiritual experience. She uses this to sense what sits beneath your words and to reflect it back gently. It is never prediction or fortune telling, simply a deeper attunement to what your inner life may be trying to show you.

Spiritual integration

For many sensitives and empaths, the spiritual layer is not a hobby, it is how they experience being alive. Here that layer is welcomed and woven into ordinary counselling, so meaning, sensitivity and awakening can be explored without leaving your feet on the ground or your everyday life behind.

Go deeper

Reading for the awakening path

If you are early in your own unfolding, it can help to read words that name what you are living. Christina writes on intuition, sensitivity, spiritual awakening and staying grounded while your inner world expands, so you can feel less alone between sessions.

What this work can support

What people bring to these sessions

There is no single reason to reach out. Melbourne clients come carrying very different stories, yet they share a sense that something deeper is asking to be heard. These are some of the themes that come up most often.

Spiritual awakening and its confusion

When a spiritual awakening begins, it can feel exhilarating and destabilising at once. We make room for the questions, the grief for who you used to be, and the slow work of trusting what is emerging without rushing to explain it all away.

Sensitivity and being an empath

If you feel everything deeply and absorb the moods of others, life can be overwhelming. We look at boundaries, energy and self care, so your sensitivity becomes something you can live with as a gift rather than a burden.

Identity shifts and life change

A relationship ending, a move, a loss or a quiet inner turning can leave you unsure who you are now. We hold space for the in between, honouring what is falling away while you sense your way toward what wants to come next.

Anxiety and grief with a deeper layer

Sometimes anxiety or grief is not only psychological, it carries a spiritual question underneath. We tend to both, calming the nervous system while gently exploring the meaning your soul may be reaching for.

Ways to explore this work

Different doors into the same grounded, intuitive practice.

Start wherever feels right. Each one is held with the same care, and you can move between them over time.

About Christina

Someone who can hold both psychology and soul.

Christina Feyes founded Soul Counselling in 2016 and works with people right across Australia. She is a counsellor with training in psychology, social work and human services, and she also brings more than twenty years of intuitive and spiritual experience. She sits comfortably where science and spirit meet, and she does not ask you to choose between them.

In practice this means clinical understanding and natural intuitive insight held together in the one room. You get practical, grounded counselling alongside space for the deeper spiritual layer of your life. To be clear, Christina is a counsellor and not a psychologist, and she does not diagnose, prescribe, treat or cure. Her work is about support, healing and honest reflection.

Common questions

Before you book.

If your question is not here, the free 15-minute assessment is the easiest way to ask it.

Is intuitive counselling expensive?

You can begin without paying anything. Christina offers a free 15-minute assessment with no card required and no obligation, so you can get a genuine feel for how she works and whether it suits you before deciding anything further. It is a relaxed, no pressure conversation, and there really is nothing to lose by starting there. Cost never needs to be the thing that stops you from reaching out and asking a first question.

Is this real counselling or just a psychic reading?

This is grounded counselling first. Christina is a counsellor with training in psychology, social work and human services, and every session rests on real listening and emotional support. Her intuitive and spiritual ability is woven in gently where it helps, but it is never a performance and never a set of predictions about your future. You are always in a genuine counselling conversation, with the deeper layer offered only as far as it serves you.

Do I need to believe in anything spiritual for this to help?

Not at all. Many people come simply because they feel a deeper layer under their anxiety, grief or life change and want space to explore it. You do not need to hold any particular belief, follow any path or use any spiritual language. Christina meets you exactly where you are. If the spiritual side feels important to you it is welcomed, and if it does not, the grounded counselling still stands fully on its own.

How is this different from ordinary counselling?

Ordinary counselling often keeps the focus on thoughts, feelings and circumstances, which matters greatly and is always part of the work here. What is different is that Christina also brings natural intuitive insight and more than twenty years of spiritual experience, so the meaning and soul level of your story is welcome too. You get the steadiness of real counselling with room for the deeper questions that a purely clinical setting can leave unspoken.

Is there a Melbourne clinic, or are sessions online?

There is no Melbourne clinic. Soul Counselling’s only physical base is in Southport on the Gold Coast, and all Melbourne work is held online by secure video or by phone. This suits Melbourne life well, whether you are in the inner north, bayside, the ranges or the outer suburbs. You can have sessions from your own home, without travel, parking or the long trip across the city, and the connection stays warm and personal.

Can we focus on mediumship or connecting with someone who has passed?

That deeper mediumship and psychic work is offered separately rather than within intuitive counselling, and it has its own dedicated pages. Intuitive counselling here centres on your own healing, sensitivity and inner growth. If connecting with a loved one who has passed is what you are seeking, mention it during your free assessment and Christina can gently explain how her separate psychic and mediumship offerings work and whether they are right for you.

How do I start?

The simplest way is to book a free 15-minute assessment, or to call Christina on 0479 144 561. There is no long form to complete and no commitment. You share a little of what has brought you here, ask anything you need to, and get a feel for whether this is a fit. From there you can decide, in your own time and with no pressure, whether you would like to continue into full sessions.

What if I am in crisis right now?

Intuitive counselling is not a crisis or emergency service, and Christina is not available for urgent situations. If you are in immediate danger or worried about your safety, please call 000 straight away. If you need to talk to someone right now, Lifeline is available 24 hours a day on 13 11 14. These services are there for you at any hour. Once things feel steadier, you are always welcome to reach out and begin this gentler work.

A gentle first step

If any of this feels like your own quiet truth, you do not have to have it all worked out first. You are welcome to a free 15-minute assessment with Christina, with no card and no obligation. It is simply a chance to feel whether this is a fit. There is truly nothing to lose, and it may be the beginning of finding your way back to yourself.

Intuitive support across Melbourne

Grounded intuitive counselling for a city of seekers

Melbourne has long nurtured one of Australia’s richest wellness and spiritual cultures. The inner north around Fitzroy, Brunswick, Northcote and Thornbury is thick with yoga studios, meditation halls and healing spaces, while the green fringes and the Dandenong Ranges around Olinda and Sassafras hold a quieter, older holistic scene. The long winters and short dark days turn many people inward toward reflection and meaning. This is a highly educated, deeply seeking population, and for a great many, the isolation of the long lockdowns left a lingering search for something more real. Intuitive counselling meets that search with warmth and grounding rather than performance.

  • Sensitives and empaths across the inner north who feel everything and need a steadier way to live with it.
  • People mid-awakening in bayside St Kilda, the inner east or the outer growth suburbs who want their experience honoured.
  • Seekers drawn to the meditation and healing culture who also want real counselling underneath the spiritual language.
  • Anyone carrying a post-lockdown ache for meaning who wants gentle, grounded company on the way through.

Sessions are held online and by phone across Melbourne and all of Australia, so this work fits quietly around your life. You can also explore all Melbourne counselling services.

Grounded, not guesswork

Plenty of spiritual offerings, trained intuitive counselling is rarer

Melbourne is not short of spiritual spaces. There are readers, healers, circles and workshops on almost every corner of the inner north. What is far harder to find is intuitive work anchored in genuine counselling training.

Christina holds both at once. Behind the intuitive insight sits more than twenty years of spiritual experience and formal training in psychology, social work and human services. That combination matters. In many clinical services the spiritual side of your life is quietly set aside, and in many ungrounded spiritual spaces the emotional weight you carry can be brushed over or even destabilised. Here, neither happens. Your intuition is respected and your feet stay on the ground, so you can explore the depths without losing your bearings.
